Ludovico Takeshi Minasi was born in Rome in 1984.

He began his musical education with Mario Centurione and Luigi Piovano and he continued his study on historical instruments with Gaetano Nasillo and Bruno Cocset.

Awarded at the Van Wassenaer competition in 2003, he is principal cellist of Il Pomo d’Oro (Maxim Emelyanichev, Francesco Corti) of which he is a member from the foundation, Concerto Italiano (Rinaldo Alessandrini), and he collaborated as principal cello with Il Complesso Barocco (Alan Curtis), Ensemble Claudiana (Luca Pianca), Cappella Gabetta (Andres Gabetta), Les Musiciens du Prince, Arsenale Sonoro, Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala di Milano,Orchestra Filarmonica Toscanini and others, working  also with musicians such as Enrico Onofri, Dmitry Sinkovsky, Rolf Lislevand, Zefira Valova.

In 2014 he was a founding member of Arsenale Sonoro with Boris Begelman.

In 2022 he realized the Album for Arcana-Outhere rediscovering the Music of “Ermenegildo del Cinque”, acclaimed by the international critic, awarded with the Gramophone’s Editor’s Choice, being included by the English magazine among the best classical music albums of 2022, obtaining the “Diapason Découverte” , the “Stars” by Classica and Musica, “Recording of the month” by MusicWeb-International,Disco del Mese” by Classic Voice“Presto Award classical finalist”
